Applications are invited for the position of Diversity and Inclusion Liaison for Fulbright Programs in the East Asian and Pacific region (EAP). Reporting to the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) in Washington, D.C., and based as a consultant at AMINEF, the Fulbright Commission in Jakarta, Indonesia, the Liaison will develop, lead, implement, and evaluate initiatives promoting diversity and inclusion (DI).
The chosen candidate will collaborate with ECA in Washington, D.C., and with Fulbright Commissions and staff at US Embassies in the EAP to increase the participation of underrepresented groups in Fulbright programming and to offer services, support, and advocacy for them once they are participants in Fulbright programs. Those underrepresented will differ from place to place, but would include, for example, ethnically and racially diverse participants, LGBTQIA+ individuals, first-generation students, those from marginalized socio-economic communities, and individuals with physical impairments.

A one-year renewable contract will be offered to the successful candidate, with a preferred start during mid-year 2020. Benefits include health insurance, vacation, and CTS (Compensation for Time of Service). Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
