The American Indonesian Exchange Foundation (AMINEF), established in 1992, is the binational, nonprofit foundation that administers the Fulbright Program. It was founded through an agreement between the governments of Indonesia and the United States. The primary focus of the Fulbright Program in Indonesia is to promote mutual understanding between the people of Indonesia and the United States through educational exchange and academic scholarship.
AMINEF annually awards scholarship to Americans and Indonesians to study, teach, or conduct original research in a variety of disciplines. Grants are competitive and the awards for Indonesians to study in the US generally cover tuition and fees, textbooks, monthly living costs, international airfare, and health insurance. Please check back periodically to this website for announcements and updated information about application deadlines, selection criteria, etc.
