I have always been a dreamer, and is a kind of person who would strive to reach my dreams. It is this attitude that has brought me to so many incredible achievements in life so far. However, all of the previous achievements could not beat the joy and excitement I felt when I was granted a Fulbright scholarship to pursue my Master’s degree at Ball State University that eventualy led me to pursue my doctorate at the same university. Fulbright has successfully given me a new mindset that sky is the only thing that can limit my imagination to realize whatever I want to achieve. I would never experience giving research presentations in some international and national conferences, and finally I would never have an opportunity to teach as a college professor in the U.S. after the completion of my doctorate if I was not a Fulbright grantee.
There is one invaluable thing that Fulbright has truly given me: a true sense of self-confidence that I can be someone who can change the world. Through my association with many educated people from different nationalities in the US, I am able to understand that we all over the world share the exact same knowledge that peace, sincere collaborations, well as mutual understanding are the components that we need to improve the quality of human life. I believe if we continue giving the opportunity to educate more bright scholars by means of awarding Fulbright scholarship, Senator Fulbright’s aspiration and our dream to create a peaceful world will come true.
