ETA Hira Baig‘s last week of school at SMKN 5 Pontianak was the week of March 17. For her final class, Hira shared stories about her life in the United States with each of her six classes. The students were excited to see pictures of Hira during her elementary school days, photos of snow and snowmen, and stories about American schools and universities.

The students were then given time to write goodbye letters for Hira to read when she returned to the US. They got creative with colorful construction paper; one student used red lipstick to make a fun pattern on her letter! Hira thanked all the students and gave the class postcards from various tourist destinations in the US. Many were excited to receive postcards from New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Hawaii, and other places.

Each class then took a final photo with their ETA and said goodbye—until next time!
