As a Fulbright Doctoral Degree (PhD) Scholarship recipient in health behavior and health promotion at the University of Arizona, Nila Kusumawati is exploring research interests in health behavior.

She is a lecturer in health sciences and heads the Indonesian Diabetes Center and the International Relations Office at Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai in Riau. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing science from Universitas Andalas and a master’s degree in public health from Georgia State University.
