As a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Ohio State University, Dr. Ranta Butarbutar is conducting research in education, focusing on the use of pedagogical technology to support sustainable professional development for teachers in rural Papua. Her goal is to develop an effective model and training module tailored to the needs of educators in remote areas.

Dr. Ranta is a lecturer in English at Universitas Musamus in Merauke. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Universitas Riau Kepulauan in Batam, and both a master’s and a PhD in English education from Universitas Negeri Makassar.
