
Brianna Adu-Kyei is a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) co-teaching English at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Taman, East Java.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Black studies and sociology from Amherst College and holds a certificate in American English linguistics.
Brianna’s passion for language study and her experience growing up in multicultural communities have shaped her path in intercultural education and advocacy. She has worked with refugee children and supported learning initiatives at the United Nations, experiences that furthered her interest in education, intercultural dialogue, and community engagement.
In East Java, she is especially drawn to exploring Indonesian performing arts—particularly reog—and attending anthropological lectures as part of her cultural exchange experience.
