Charles Cushman is a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) co-teaching English at SMAN 1 Kalianda, Lampung.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in business and global affairs from Georgetown University, a minor in Spanish, and a certificate in diplomatic studies.

Charlie is passionate about outdoor education and cross-cultural exchange. He has led outdoor expeditions for students in the U.S. and Alaska, lived with a host family in Spain, and participated in international projects in Mexico, Ireland, Belgium, the Dominican Republic, and Ghana.

Charlie believes in the power of athletics to build community and resilience. In Lampung, he hopes to share his interests in outdoor education and sports while learning from the cultural perspectives of his students and host community.
