Dr. Charleen Singh

As a Fulbright US Scholar, Dr. Charleen Singh is teaching at the University of Indonesia.

Dr. Singh is the director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice — Family Nurse Practitioner Program at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at the University of California, Davis. She teaches primarily in the family nurse practitioner program and continues to support the San Jos? State University Valley Foundation School of Nursing Wound Ostomy program.

A nurse practitioner with extensive clinical and academic experience, Dr. Singh has focused much of her practice on pediatrics, including pediatric wound and ostomy care at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. Her doctoral research examined the impact of pediatric nursing interventions on pressure injuries. Her clinical experience spans hospitals and clinics across Canada and the U.S. West Coast, most recently serving as a surgical nurse practitioner at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California.

Dr. Singh holds a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of British Columbia, a master of science in nursing and nurse practitioner training from the University of Phoenix, a doctor of philosophy in healthcare services from Walden University, and an MBA from Western Governors University. She is internationally recognized for her poster and podium presentations, publishes in several journals, and continues collaborative work with schools of nursing in Southeast Asia.
