Morgan McCarthy is a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) co-teaching English at SMAN 3 Banjarbaru, Kalimantan Selatan.
Morgan holds a bachelor’s degree in government and international politics from George Mason University, with a minor in Eastern European history. Additionally, she recently graduated with a master’s degree in international relations, along with a certificate in migration and refugee studies, from San Francisco State University. During her time at university, she studied abroad in South Korea, Germany, and New Zealand.
Over the past eight years, she has dedicated her career to serving her community through social service and nonprofit work, working extensively with families, seniors, and youth experiencing homelessness and economic hardship in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Morgan looks forward to deepening her cultural understanding of Indonesia through the Fulbright Program and to bringing her experiences to promote cross-cultural exchange and education among her students.
