Charissa Xin Zeigler is a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) co-teaching English at SMKN 4 Palangkaraya, Kalimantan Tengah.

Charissa graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz double majoring in psychology and philosophy. While at Santa Cruz, she enjoyed hosting a public broadcast news talk show and co-leading Santa Cruz’s Minorities and Philosophy chapter where she hosted events related to human rights law and hermeneutical justice.

She is interested in intergroup relations as it relates to moral decision making and hopes to learn about Indonesia’s diverse cultural groups and how they relate to each other. She is a creative writer, who has published poetry and short stories with an interest in speculative fiction. She hopes to draw inspiration from Indonesia’s cultural storytelling traditions and artistic forms.
