Dylan earned a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in Japanese from Kenyon College. His academic and professional interests center on the intersections of technology, democracy, law, youth civic life, and international affairs, with a particular focus on how emerging digital systems shape political and economic opportunity.

His Fulbright research, conducted in partnership with Universitas Gadjah Mada, examines how Indonesian youth navigate artificial intelligence, social media, and digital finance, and what these technologies mean for opportunity, civic participation, and democratic life in the world’s third-largest democracy. Through interviews, surveys, and collaboration with local academic partners, his project explores how young Indonesians understand the promises and risks of digital change, while also considering the legal and regulatory questions raised by AI, online financial platforms, misinformation, and new forms of political engagement.

He hopes his Fulbright research will contribute to broader conversations about youth, technology, democratic governance, and law in Indonesia and beyond.
