For her Fulbright Doctoral degree program in applied mathematics, Sari Cahyaningtias is placed at Arizona State University. She intends to study advanced control theory in control systems engineering, which deals with continuously operating dynamical systems in engineered processes and machines.

She earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in mathematics from Sepuluh Nopember Technology Institute (ITS).

Sari is a lecturer at PGRI University Adi Buana, Surabaya, East Java.
