Jonathan McLeod is a PhD student at the University of Arizona who receives the Fulbright Student Research award for his project “Traditional Livelihood and Forest Use among the Tabun Tribe in West Papua, Indonesia.” Supported by Universitas Negeri Papua, Jonathan hopes that the result of his project could provide the local and provincial governments with a greater understanding of the livelihood needs and forest-use strategies of peoples in this region.
