At the University of Rhode Island, Hafizan is studying for a master’s degree in pharmacology, focusing on research on safe and effective medications and helping educate healthcare professionals and the general public on the proper use of drugs.

He is a pharmacist at Puskesmas (Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat or community health sector) Pambang in Bengkalis, Riau.

Hafizan earned his bachelor’s degree and undertook a professional pharmacy program at Universitas Sumatera.
