With his Fulbright award, Ahmad Ardi pursues a master’s degree in microbiology at North Dakota State University. His main interest is in synthetic biology and biotechnology, as there are many unexplored genetic resources of tropical biodiversity in Indonesia.

Ahmad is a former research assistant at the Faculty of Biology, Universitas Gadjah Mada, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree.
