Ammarah graduated from American University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in international studies and a minor in communications. While at American, Ammarah taught a first-year seminar course about diversity and inclusion and tutored students in English. Ammarah has a passion for education and leads an Alternative Breaks program to New Orleans focusing on the education system post-Hurricane Katrina. Ammarah also facilitated a dialogue about Islamophobia at her university while serving as the President of the Muslim Students Association.
She is excited to teach and learn while in the classroom in Indonesia.
For her Fulbright ETA program, Ammarah will be placed in Bukkittinggi where she will co-teach at MAN 2 Bukittinggi.
