Anne Meylani Magdalena Sirait is doing graduate work for a PhD in earth and environmental sciences at Lehigh University, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Her research will focus on seismology in Indonesia, a crucial topic given the country’s high level of seismic risk.

She holds both bachelors and masters-level degrees from the University of Indonesia in geophysics. She is currently a lecturer at Surya Teacher’s College in Banten.
