Asri Syawalia will be placed at Castleton University as a Global UGRAD Fellow.

She wants to enhance her knowledge in linguistics, get to know the American higher education system and learn curricular materials design. She wants to help future scholarship-hunters on her return and to introduce what she learns from the US in a literary club in her community.

Asri is a sixth-semester student in English literature at Bangka Belitung University, Sumatra.
