Avery is a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) placed at SMKN 4 Surakarta, Central Java, to co-teach English. She holds a degree from the University of Minnesota, focusing on French and English literature. During her academic years, Avery has actively engaged in climate activism and socio-linguistic research.

With experiences spanning Senegal, France, and Madagascar, Avery values place-based education and immersive cultural exchange. She is drawn to Indonesia’s linguistic, cultural, and ecological diversity.
