Ayu Diasti Rahmawati studies political science for a doctorate at the University of Florida. Her main interest is in learning peace and democracy through teaching, research, and community service projects. She wants to look at the nonviolent movements that may or may not help push for democratic consolidation in Brazil and Indonesia.
She is a lecturer at Gadjah Mada University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in international relations. She obtained her master’s in international affairs from The New School with an earlier Fulbright grant.
