For his Fulbright Doctoral Degree Scholarship, Budi Mandra Harahap studies biological systems engineering at Washington State University. His research interest is in the biotechnological conversion of biomass into bio-based products such as enzymes, biochemicals, and bioenergy.

He earned his bachelor’s in agroindustrial technology from IPB University, and his master’s in chemical engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).

Budi is a lecturer and researcher at Padjadjaran University.
