Cristine Devi Claudia is is currently enrolled at an exchange program in the field of International Relations at Chatham University.
She applied for the Global UGRAD program because she would like to study in the world’s best country education system, experience the U.S culture, develop volunteering skills and interact with American students and students from other countries.
During her study, she participated National University Debating Championship (NUDC) 2016 in Banjarmasin and Jakarta during her freshman year. She also participated in some local organizations and volunteering programs. She has been volunteering at Kedai Perancis of UNTAN Language Center, introducing basic French and teaching English for children. Her enthusiasm in debate competitions and strong determination to create community capacity building led her to establish UNTAN Model United Nations (MUN) club which, she believes, can gradually improve the quality of students through English public speaking, writing, and diplomacy skills. As the first person who goes to college in her extended family, it makes her an independent, highly-motivated to succeed, and goal-oriented person.
Upon the completion of her exchange program in the US, she will be back to Universitas Tanjungpura (UNTAN), Pontianak, West Kalimantan to gain her undergraduate degree in International Relations. she would share the new knowledge and experience she gained to her friends and community, and inspire people to improve their capacity.
