At the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Dedy Lucky is pursuing teaching, learning, and teacher education as a Fulbright Master’s Degree Scholarship recipient. He wants to further develop mathematics education by adapting the knowledge gained through the program to the local cultural and physical contexts familiar to his students.

He is a mathematics educator and vice principal for curriculum development at SMP Yayasan Pendidikan Prima Swarga Bara (SMP YPPSB) in Sangatta, East Kutai, East Kalimantan. His bachelor’s degree was in mathematics education from Universitas Sanata Dharma.
