Doni Rizki Akbar is a sixth-semester student in accounting at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Medan, North Sumatera. He believes by participating in the Global UGRAD Program, it will improve and develop himself to support his local community. He wants to learn about cultural and critical global understanding so that he could be more open-minded and have more friends from other parts of the world.

For his Global UGRAD fellowship, Doni is placed at Indiana State University for one semester.

After the program, he would complete his study at USU and dedicate himself to his society through his social project called “SuperZord Class”, a free tutoring platform for the people who have limitations in cost and time to take an extra class (study) which focuses on teaching English, writing scientific paper and leadership. This project has been running for 6 months and participated by 130 youngsters in his region.
