Dr Adrian Rodgers

Dr Rodgers served as a Fulbright Specialist at the Language Development Office in UIN Prof. KH Saifuddin Zuhri (SAIZU) in Purwokerto from August 3 – 17, 2022. During his time, he shared his knowledge and expertise with the faculty members and students to accomplish the objectives of the project, namely integrating technology into instruction at the undergraduate level, using a backward design model, aligning and improving planning, teaching, and assessing across multiple academic disciplines, and supporting the development of global perspectives by undergraduate students across multiple disciplines. They accomplished their goals through multi-day workshops with undergraduate students and faculty members.

Dr. Rodgers is an associate professor in teaching and learning at Ohio State University-Newark. He earned his PhD in teacher education and master’s in educational theory from The Ohio State University, his bachelor’s in English and history, and a bachelor of education in secondary education from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. His areas of interest are professional development and pre-service teacher education, literacy, drama education, and qualitative research. He directed the US/Indonesia Teacher Education Consortium (USINTEC), a consortium of 18 top-ranking state universities in the US and Indonesia and a Southeast Asian regional center for open and distance learning, for several years.
