Dr. Maria Teodora Ping is a lecturer in education at Universitas Mulawarman, Samarinda.

She is researching  teaching, curriculum, and instruction at Ohio State University on a project entitled “Literacy Instructions in Indonesia and the USA: Cross-National Current Practices and Conceptualization of Future Directions.” She intends to contribute to developing literacy instruction models and instruments applicable in both Indonesian and US contexts.

Dr. Maria earned her bachelor’s degree in English teaching from Universitas Sanata Dharma, a master’s degree in education with a concentration on applied linguistics from the University of Groningen, Netherlands, and a PhD in education from Technical University Dortmund, Germany.
