As a Fulbright US Scholar, Dr. Mega Subramaniam is teaching at Universitas Gadjah Mada. She shares her expertise in strengthening libraries’ roles and advancing digital literacy among young people.

Dr. Subramaniam is a professor at the College of Information at the University of Maryland. She brings research and practice together to support both in-service and pre-service librarians and has led the design of multiple professional development initiatives, including ReadyNOW, ConnectedLib, Safe Data Safe Families, HackHealth, Youth Experience, and IMPACT.

Her work has been recognized with several honors, including Library Journal’s 2019 Movers and Shakers award, YALSA’s 2020 Outstanding Achievement Award, and Fulbright Specialist and Fulbright Scholar awards.
