Dr Selvie Sinaga is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law-Universitas Katolik Atma Jaya.

Her research through the Fulbright US–ASEAN Visiting Scholar Initiative Program is on “harmonization of intellectual property (IP) laws in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).” She believes that research in the United States is needed since IP laws and administration in the US have been well developed, and the ASEAN member states could learn these from the US.

She completed her PhD in intellectual property and international law at the University of Wollongong, Australia. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in international law from Universitas Gadjah Mada and her master’s in internet and electronic law from Monash University, Australia.
