Eugenie studies TESOL (Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages) at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale to equip him in his passion to develop  English language learning materials that focus on local or Indonesian culture to students in Maluku.

Eugenie worked as a teaching assistant in the English education study program, Universitas Pattimura, Maluku. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English education from the Universitas Pattimura in 2014.

After he fulfilled his Fulbright master’s degree scholarship program,  Eugenie plans to work his way up to a permanent lecturer position at the Universitas Pattimura where he will  design and develop local culture based – English language teaching and learning materials.
