Fahmi Islami studies public policy and management at Carnegie Mellon University. His interest is to look at the impact of smart city programs on public service and public welfare, specifically in increasing the use of data and technology in policymaking.

He received his bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Indonesia.

Fahmi serves as a personal aide to the governor of South Sulawesi, Prof. Nurdin Abdullah.
