Fathurrohman will carry out research on ”The Network Characteristics and Organizational Structure of Indonesian Drugs Trafficking Groups” at the California State University with a view to understanding the success and failures from the experience of the United States and its various policies in the war against drugs.

Fathurrohman is the head of the Intelligence Analysis Section at the National Narcotics Board of Indonesia, where he analyzes narcotics abuse crimes. He earned his bachelor’s degree in criminology from the University of Indonesia and a master’s degree in religion and peace studies from the State Islamic Institute, Jakarta. He has been working with the US Drug Enforcement Administration in several cases of drug smuggling in Indonesia.
