Febriany Oseanita Sapulete is in a master’s degree program in communication studies, specializing in political communication, at the University of Arkansas, in Fayetteville, Arkanas. She plans to do a thesis on the Jakarta gubernatorial election and how the election campaign has triggered incivility in political discourse in social media, currently a global trend.

She earned her BA degree in communications from Sahid University, Jakarta, in 2005, after which she returned to her home town of Ambon, Maluku, where she has worked as public relations officers at the Ambon City Council.
