Fulbright Alumnus, Nury Effendi, Leads Discussion on Sustainable Development

Distinguished Fulbright alumnus Nury Effendi (left in photo below) and currently Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Padjadjaran University, was featured in a Kompas daily article today, Tuesday, 29 September 2015, leading a joint Kompas-Padjadjaran discussion forum on “Challenges of Implementing Sustainable Development Ideas at the Local and National Levels” at the Kompas office, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (29/9). Prof. Nury received a Fulbright Master’s Degree Scholarship in 1985 – 1987 for study in economic development field at Ohio State University.

The discussion was attended by Dr. Kuntoro Mangkusubroto, head of Bandung Institute of Technology’s School of Business and Management; Rector of Padjajaran Prof. Tri Hanggono Ahmad and Prof. Oekan Abdullah, also of Padjadjaran University; Armida Alisjahbana, former Minister of Planning (Bappenas); Agung Pambudhi, Chairman of the Committee on Regional Autonomy Implementation Monitoring; Endah Murniningtyas, Deputy of Maritime and Natural Resources, Bappenas; and the Deputy Editor in Chief of Kompas.
