As a Fulbright Doctoral Degree Scholarship recipient, Garnita Mulyani is enrolled in a PhD program in media arts and sciences at Indiana University, Bloomington, with an interest in communications and journalism.

She is a senior research consultant at Development Dialogue Asia, the communication initiative of the Climate and Land Use Alliance (CLUA) in Jakarta. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication science from Universitas Padjadjaran and a master’s degree in media and communication science from Technische Universität Ilmenau in Germany.
