For his Fulbright Doctoral Degree Scholarship, Heri Yusup studies applied linguistics at the University of Memphis. His main interest is in language planning and language policy and the use of English in non-native English contexts. He is concerned about the preservation and protection of minority languages and the promotion of linguistic diversity.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Universitas Padjadjaran and a master’s in applied linguistics from the University of Birmingham, UK.

Heri is a researcher at Universitas Islam “45” (UNISMA) in Bekasi.
