Iswadi is pursuing economics at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.

He is a social worker at the philanthropic non-governmental organization Dompet Dhuafa’s North Sumatra branch.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Islamic economics from Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sumatera Utara Medan. His primary interest is in poverty reduction and social empowerment. Upon completing his master’s degree program, he wants to become a social worker at Dompet Dhuafa or another organization focused on helping people experiencing poverty.
