Jaysa Rafi is studying policy economics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

He is a research associate at the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) in Jakarta.

He received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Indonesia. His main interest is in policy-based economic research, and he believes that good economic policy must be rooted in solid research.

Upon completion of the master’s degree program, he intends to continue his career in ERIA while also taking up an academic position at a private university in Jakarta.
