Meet the two Fulbright scholars who will share their research and insights:

  • Dr. Maria Tamarina Prawati, was awarded the Fulbright Visiting Scholar in 2024 at Virginia Tech. She is also a lecturer at BINUS University. She will present a case study comparing English language and culture learning in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and US contexts, inspired by Risager’s transnational paradigm.
  • Dr. Noor Rachmawaty was awarded the Fulbright FLTA in 2006, and she taught Indonesian at Stanford University. She is the Head of Language Unit at Mulawarman University. Her presentation explores the role of cultural intelligence and learning strategies in enhancing English proficiency among English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners.
