Leading Pollsters in Indonesia are Fulbrighters

During the election year of 2014 in Indonesia, April 9 for the Legislative Election and July 9 for the Presidential Election, there are a number of pollsters taking public-opinion surveys on the electability of candidates for the parliament and president/ vice president. The renowned pollsters evidentlly are Fulbright program alumni. They are:

1. Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC). It is led by Saiful Mujani, 1996 Fulbright student grantee to Ohio State University. Two of the team members are Djayadi Hanan, 2007 Fulbright Student to Ohio State University, and Sirojudin Abbas, 2007 Fulbright student grantee to UC, Berkeley.

2. The Center of Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Jakarta has also been active in doing polling. The team is led by Philips J. Vermonte, 2005 Fulbright student grantee to Northern Illinois University.

3. Lembaga Survei Indonesia (LSI). The Executive Director is Kuskrisho Ambardi, 1998 Fulbright Student to the Ohio University.
