
Marianus Roni studies for a doctoral-level degree in education and human development at Western Michigan University. He is interested in exploring the strategies of using mother tongues as the language of instruction in the early years of elementary schools to increase school children’s academic achievement in remote areas, such as rural Flores.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in English education from Malang State Univesity and his master’s in applied linguistics from La Trobe University.
Marianus is a lecturer at Flores University, East Nusa Tenggara.
