Martha Mega Silvia Sim is currently pursuing an MA in medical sciences at the University of Kentucky, in Lexington, Kentucky. She is a medical doctor, having earned her degree in 2011 at the Sriwijaya University, in Palembang.

She then worked at the Myria Hospital in Palembang for more than three years before deciding to continue her education in clinical research in microbiology and infectious diseases.
