This is Matt’s second year as an English Teaching Assistant in Indonesia. Matt was previously teaching in Bandar Lampung but for this year, he is very excited to be teaching at MAN Demak in Central Java. He was raised in Maryland and graduated with a degree in American Studies and a teaching certificate in 2015. He spent the following year teaching social studies to middle schoolers in Baltimore city. In his free time Matt really enjoys reading and watching movies in various cafes he stumbles upon. While in Lampung Matt also enjoyed exploring the various parts of the city and finding crazy batik shirts to make a fashion statement with. He’s really excited to meet and learn more about the wonderful people and culture of Indonesia.
