Melati Kaye has a master’s in environmental science and management from the University of Rhode Island.

Her 2019 US Fulbright Student research project affiliated with Haluoleo University in Kendari, Sulawesi is to build a web-based map of coral fish distribution for inlets in Southeast Sulawesi based on local ecological knowledge and landings data.

She is working with Dr Wa Iba, a fellow Fulbrighter who was awarded in 2012 DIKTI-funded Fulbright Grants for Indonesian Lecturers – PhD.
