On January 22, 2026, ETA Jason Yan, at SMK Krian 2 Sidoarjo, was in Jakarta for the annual ETA Mid-Year Conference. As part of the conference experience, some of the ETAs, along with their co-teachers, participated in an educational field trip to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), one of Indonesia’s most iconic cultural parks. The visit to TMII provided a valuable opportunity to explore the diverse cultural heritage of Indonesia’s provinces through its collection of traditional houses, museums, and cultural pavilions. This excursion complemented the conference’s professional development by offering firsthand exposure to Indonesia’s rich cultural tapestry.

As part of the experience, Jason, along with some fellow ETAs, had the opportunity to try on the cultural clothing of some of the regions they visited at the park. Overall, it was a great experience and a much-needed break from the previous days of programming and sessions hosted by AMINEF.
Jason Yan is currently teaching at SMK Krian 2 Sidoarjo, East Java.
