At Cornell University, Mirza Arsiaty Arsyad is pursuing a doctorate in plant breeding, focusing on the genomic selection of plant breeding.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in agronomy from Universitas Hasanuddin and a master’s in plant breeding and biotechnology at Institut Pertanian Bogor.

Mirza is a lecturer at Universitas Halu Oleo in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi.
