Mohammad Rifki Akbari studies economic development at Boston University. He is keen to learn about public policy innovations that use rigorous and innovative approaches such as behavioral insights to build a strong evidence-informed policymaking culture to reduce poverty with limited funding resources.
Rifki is a program manager of customer protection in financial services at Dewan Nasional Keuangan Inklusif (National Board for Financial Inclusion), Jakarta.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Universitas Gadjah Mada and a master’s in international development from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
Through the Humphrey Program, he plans to use the new perspectives, knowledge, skills and networking with leading experts, policymakers, and practitioners to equip him further to push innovation and evidence-based policymaking within the Indonesian government.
