Muhammad Edo Marshal Nurshal is pursuing a geoscience doctorate at Pennsylvania State University-University Park Campus. He will study the complexity of faults and fracture networks, combining structural geology and geomechanics analysis to deliver more efficient, safer, and environmentally friendly geothermal energy production.

He is a research assistant and structural geologist at Institut Teknologi Bandung, where he obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in geology.
