
Muhammad Habib Widyawan undertakes his PhD program in plant breeding, genetics, and genomics at the University of Georgia. He wants to study modern plant breeding techniques, such as genome-wide association studies and genomic selection, techniques that have been applied to improve many important traits in crops.
He is a lecturer and researcher at Universitas Gadjah Mada, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in agriculture. He later got his master’s in agriculture from Institut Pertanian Bogor.
