Muhammad was a junior teacher at Yayasan Gerakan Indonesia Mengajar in Lebak Regency, Banten. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung in 2012.
He wants to pursue a Master’s degree in renewable energy and sustainable systems. His proposed study is related to the utilization of solar cells in rural areas in order to improve the rural economy and contribute to a solution to the approaching energy crisis when non-renewable resources diminish.
Upon completion of the Master’s degree program, he intends to join the Indonesian government or a non-government organization concerned with rural development, especially provision of electricity. He also wants to teach at the university level as associate lecturer to share his knowledge and aspirations about renewable energy.
For his Master’s degree program, Muhammad is placed at Oregon Institute of Technology to study renewable energy engineering.
